It amazes me that a company with as much money as EIG has can’t be bothered to come up with different emails for the different brands. Over the past couple months I have pointed out the emails they send are exact copies of each other just with different branding on them. Today I got more of the same.
EIG have recently completely revamped the JustHost and HostMonster websites, which is all well and good. However, it bothers me that they send out pretty much duplicate emails out about it. The only difference between the two is that the color of the background has been changed to mimic the designs of the new websites.
To me, this just speaks to the overall quality of their product. Do the least amount of work possible but just try getting more and more customers in. Who cares if we aren’t giving a great service, we just have to get people to sign up and make it as difficult as possible to get out. And if they do get out, chances are they’ll just transfer to another EIG brand anyway, so the money stays in the same place.
Hopefully one day affiliates will assume some responsibility with their promotions and actually give customers accurate reviews of these companies, but I won’t be holding my breath for that.
