I got an email yesterday from a web host with an announcement that cPanel would no longer be supporting FrontPage extensions. This was pretty amusing to me because FrontPage itself hasn’t been supported by Microsoft for 7 or 8 years now. Anybody who is still using FrontPage as a development tool seriously needs to reconsider that. The technology used to create websites has taken huge strides in order to make website development easier.

There are plenty of free tools available for you to create a better website. Content management systems like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal can give your website a new look all while making it easier to maintain. There are hundreds of thousands of templates that can easily be installed on any of these platforms that will give your website a custom look and give you the ability to add your content with little to no coding knowledge.

The fact of the matter is that the internet is constantly evolving and your website needs to evolve with it. Pages of 10 years ago are no longer appealing today. Heck, even something as simple as Google doesn’t look anything like it did a few years ago. Make sure you keep with the times, especially if you have a business website, or you will find yourself lost in the masses.
